Leslie Bee
Leslie’s first CD of standards in “The Way I Feel” was followed by her original CD “What My Heart Sings” with tunes written by Leslie Bee and pianist Michele Faber, recorded with international jazz greats, Ricky Woodard, Phil Upchurch, Ralph Penland, John Chodinni, and Tony Dumas. In Barcelona, Leslie recorded with Grammy nominated artist, producer Omar Sosa and world music artist Abdeijalil Kodss. The product of their music was the first time Christian and Muslim/Arabic music was merged and recorded together. The collaboration was haunting!!! Leslie’s coming CD project will infuse the many sounds of Africa into a variety of jazz formats.

“Leslie Bee is the consummate artist”, said Barcelona’s “Metropolitan”, a monthly English magazine. On two occasions the magazine covered stories of Leslie’s incredible breakout in Spain and how she has been well received by press and audiences.

Now home Leslie has stayed busy preparing for another tour, looking for film production for her script “Ladies Who Lunch” which received a Showtime TV award. Leslie has won drama critic awards and was nominated for an Image Award (NAACP) for supporting actress in “Macbeth” the musical. Leslie was selected by Shell Oil Company as a woman of the 90’s that Are Making a Difference, and Who’s Who in Black America.

After living in Spain and touring with some of the best musicians in the world, it is clear, Leslie Bee is a must see. There is a special richness to her performances and her music. The static electricity is waiting to be discharged and the Bee’s honey is waiting to be tasted. Leslie Bee’s static charge and youthful enthusiasm stimulates people and cultures worldwide, while bringing forth what she does best…enjoys life! A gift she gladly shares with all she meets and greets her slice of life. The vision continues…
